    In June 2022, Joanne Moore, J.D., joined LMU as the dean of the School of Film and Television.

    Previously, Moore served as chair and associate professor of the Producing Department at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she championed interdisciplinary programs, was instrumental in launching DEI initiatives, including recruiting a more diverse faculty and student population and increased the profile of the film school within the entertainment industry. Moore was recognized with the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2020 for her outstanding and innovative pedagogy and mentorship of faculty and students, in particular members of underrepresented communities in higher education.

    Moore is honored to be the dean of the School of Film and Television that is located at the epicenter of the entertainment industry – Los Angeles – with beautiful campuses in Westchester and Playa Vista, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and award-winning faculty, staff and alumni who are committed to creating the most collaborative, hands-on student experience possible.

    Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Riverside, and a Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law.
