    Dr. Brendan W. Smith directs the Rehabilitation, Assistive Tech & Human Control Theory (REACT) Laboratory, where they lead several ongoing projects that include undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Smith graduated with a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College in 2011, then went on to earn an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine in 2017. Teaching senior capstone design and courses in Control Theory and Biomedical engineering, Dr. Smith is always looking for students who are motivated and eager to apply their engineering skillset to urgent clinical needs around the globe.
